The sixth annual Metropolitan State University of Denver Day of Giving on March 31 is a way for alumni, students and faculty, staff and community members to provide Roadrunners with the resources they need to rise to reach their goals in the classroom, in their careers and as leaders in their communities.

Last year, 866 Day of Giving donors helped raise over $207,000 to support scholarships, special projects, wraparound student-support services, athletics, student clubs/organizations and more. Imagine how high our students can fly when you and other HEROES are Helping Every Roadrunner Obtain Excellence and Success!

Here are just some of the ways MSU Denver HEROES can support student success during this year’s Day of Giving:

  • Submit a project proposal.
    • To be considered for promotion during Day of Giving, campus organizations mustsubmit a project proposal including a brief description, a fundraising goal and an explanation of how the funds will be used. Crowdfunding projects must support a campus organization, fund, department or program. You can find examples of successful past projects on last year’s Day of Giving crowdfunding page. Submissionswill be accepted through Feb. 28.
  • Make a gift on Day of Giving
  • Sign upto be a Day of Giving advocate and spread the word on social media.
  • Contribute to the Philanthropy Fund at any time and your gift will be used to set up match and challenge gifts for Day of Giving featured projects.
  • Faculty/staff only:Increase or start a new payroll deduction between March 1 and 31, and your annual payroll-deduction total will count toward our Day of Giving totals.
  • Connect with the Roadrunner community by joining the Day of Giving Telethon, hosted by Brandi Rideout, director of Alumni Relations. The event will include a talent show – anyone can enter, and the winner will be able to designate a prize of $500 to the MSU Denver program/fund of their choice. Email Brandi for more information.
