Rockies 50/50 volunteersThe Colorado Rockies’ home opener at Coors Field is Friday, and the Metropolitan State University of Denver Alumni Association is once again partnering with the team and the Colorado Rockies Foundation for the Colorado Rockies 50/50 Raffle. As in years past, 50% of ticket sales will go to the raffle winner, with the remainder split between the Rockies Foundation and the Alumni Association.

The Alumni Association is seeking volunteers to assist with the 50/50 Raffle at all Rockies games at Coors Field. Volunteers earn a minimum of $75 per shift and can designate those funds to the University program or scholarship of their choice.

During the 2023 Rockies season, 1,008 volunteers from 21 MSU Denver programs raised over $129,000 for the University. Roadrunners Athletics student-athletes raised $86,000 for their teams, helping with the cost of such things as travel and equipment, and the Tae Kwon Do Club raised $4,000, allowing its members to compete in nationals, where one won gold.

What volunteers can expect:

Before game day

  • All volunteers need credentials to assist with the 50/50 Raffle at Coors Field. There are cutoff dates for credential processing, so sign up for the dates you want as far in advance as possible.
  • When you register to volunteer for a home game at Coors Field, a credential will be available at the employee entrance before your first shift. Credentials are valid for the 2024 season.

On game day

  • You will have roughly a six-hour commitment, depending on the length of the game.
  • You will sell 50/50 tickets to Rockies fans throughout the stadium.
  • A game ticket is not required for volunteers; parking costs $1.
