Welcome to your Friday Early Bird, highlighting the best of Metropolitan State University of Denver through weekly images. Check back each Friday to see MSU Denver through a different lens.

A new exhibit at MSU Denver’s Center for Visual Arts features artists who are using their work to confront social issues and address community challenges. The Design for the Common Good International Exhibition showcases 30 such projects, including a tiny-home village that is helping to combat Denver’s housing crisis as well as urban-regeneration and cultural-preservation initiatives from around the globe. Representing 22 countries across six continents, the projects reflect applied innovative-design solutions, showcasing successful outcomes, all focused on localized teams embedded in and made from the communities they’re working with. The exhibit will be on display through March 19. Read more about the students, artists and educators behind this innovative exhibition in RED.
