Dozens of Roadrunners gathered in the Hospitality Learning Center on April 21 for a dumpling-making workshop led by faculty fellow Sophia Tran, Ph.D., and Stephanie Lee, student-success coach with the Classroom to Career Hub. The event was hosted by the APIDA Staff and Faculty Alliance, the Center for Multicultural Engagement and Inclusion, and the School of Hospitality in honor of Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Heritage Month (officially held in May but recognized by MSU Denver in April).
The event was an opportunity for Roadrunners to enjoy traditional Nepalese jhol momos, build community and recognize MSU Denver’s APIDA students and employees. MSU Denver is proud to serve a diverse group of learners and continually strives to cultivate a more culturally representative workforce. The University holds an above-average College Factual ranking in overall diversity nationwide, with APIDA students making up approximately 5% of enrolled undergraduates last fall, and has prioritized fostering diversity, equity and inclusion in its 2030 Strategic Plan.
