Every year, Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Classroom to Career (C2) Hub invites Auraria Campus students, faculty members, staff members and employer or community partners to come together for a one-day opportunity to connect with one another on topics related to workplace diversity, equity and inclusion.

Time: 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. 

Location: Tivoli Student Union Baerresen Ballroom (320s)   

The Workplace Equity Summit’s theme is “The Power of Our Stories,featuring keynote speaker Donna ChrisJohn, Indigenouseducation consultant and former co-chair of the Denver American Indian Commission.

Panelists scheduled to appear include:

  • Gregory Muckerson, director of Cultural Integrity and People Equity for JD Finish Line 
  • Terri Gentry, engagement manager for Black communities at History Colorado 
  • Sumayyah Emeh-Edu, principal leadership and cultural consultant for Embedded Consulting 
  • Olivia Omega, senior director of Marketing and Communications for the Denver Scholarship Foundation 
  • Destiny Hardney, co-founder of Dream Create Inspire Tour 

Registration is free for Auraria Campus students, faculty and staff. General registration for non-Auraria community members is $25, which includes admission, food and parking.
