“We are excited to have these talented leaders joining the board,” said Brandi Rideout, senior director of Alumni Engagement and director of the Alumni Association. “Their dedication to our mission will ensure that fellow Roadrunners have opportunities to engage with each other and the University in meaningful ways.”

Alejandra Colmenero ’15

Leadership Program Manager

Colorado Latino Leadership, Advocacy & Research Organization

Colmenero has been part of the non-profit sector since 2011. Her journey began when she got involved with UNICEF USA to fight human trafficking and educate others on global issues. Colmenero focused on advocating for children’s rights with congressmen/women, both in Washington, D.C., and in-district. Her passion for making the world a better place led her to seek local involvement in non-profits. She joined the Colorado Latino Leadership Advocacy Research Organization, coordinating the CLLARO Capitol Fellowship Program in 2017; Colmenero is now director of leadership development at CLLARO.

Colmenero obtained her B.A. in Hospitality, Tourism and Events from MSU Denver and an MBA from the University of Northern Colorado.
