Arend was also selected to teach at the recent Institute for New Educational Developers, sponsored by the Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education June 20-23. 

Arend will also travel to Ethiopia to deliver a ‘train the trainer’ professional development course for faculty about integrating career-readiness skills within academic courses. Arend developed the course as part of a U.S. Agency for International Development grant through Arizona State University and it is currently being used in many universities in Ethiopia.
