Future Roadrunners will have the $25 undergraduate-and-graduate application fee waived next week in honor of the second annual Free Application Days event at Metropolitan State University of Denver. In addition to the fall statewide free-application period, MSU Denver hosts a University-specific free-application event to better serve aspiring scholars.

“This event helps to provide access to the high-quality education MSU Denver offers by removing the financial barrier of the $25 application fee,” said Vaughn Toland, executive director of Admissions and Outreach, Admissions. “In addition, access is one of MSU Denver’s core values, and this event aligns perfectly with that value.”

The University initiative began last year in response to academic barriers created by the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2021 free-application weekend, “Share the Love,” coincided with Valentine’s Day and resulted in 327 accepted applications. This year, the Admissions team continues sharing the love over a weeklong free-application period.

Admissions professionals say there are plenty of resources available for prospective students, and those who are looking for hands-on assistance can connect with their Admissions counselor or use the MSU Denver Admissions website to walk themselves through the process.

Encourage future Roadrunners to apply during the event and connect them with application resources on the Free App Days site.
