The Honors Program and the Undergraduate Research and Creative Scholarship Program have devised a new way for Roadrunners to make new academic and professional connections. To promote the exchange of knowledge and to help faculty members and students establish research partnerships, the programs have developed the University’s first-ever MSU Denver Research Symposium.

Megan Hughes, PhD

“My job offers me a unique perspective because I get to work with students from across so many disciplines, I often get to know about faculty members who may have overlapping research interests, explained Megan Hughes, Ph.D., director of the Honors Program and event co-organizer. “But oftentimes, they don’t know each other because they are in different departments or colleges.”

The Research Symposium also serves as a social event and aims to facilitate new connections among faculty members and students from across departments and colleges. It is also designed to put students in touch with research sooner and to let them hear about research opportunities directly from faculty members.

RSVPs and presentation applications must submitted by Sept. 9. Please RSVP by Sept. 30.
