The Office of Faculty Affairs will once again facilitate the Metropolitan State University of Denver Leaders Academy during the upcoming academic year. The program, which was launched last fall, features workshops held throughout the fall and spring semesters geared toward helping chairs, directors and other established and burgeoning faculty leaders learn about the various processes and resources relevant to their work. It also helps them gain the tools and strengthen the skills integral to the success of the departments and programs they lead.

Program details

Like last year, the 2022-23 Leaders Academy will offer morning and afternoon options covering the same material for each session. This year’s program kicks off in early September with the Leadership session, with members of the Human Resources team covering search, hiring and onboarding processes as well as performance management, talent development and disciplinary processes.

While participants are not required to attend every session, Faculty Affairs encourages everyone to attend as many as possible to reap the full value and benefits of the program.

All sessions will be held via a hybrid format (using Teams). Those who attend in person will be provided with lunch.
