The final numbers will be available soon as outstanding gift commitments are confirmed. Scholarships, student-support services, athletics and various programs received the financial boost needed to unlock new levels of student success for years to come.

“Everyone puts in so much hard work during the months leading up to Day of Giving,” said Bre Milnes, executive director of Advancement Communications and Annual Giving. “It wouldn’t be possible to reach these heights without our collaborative Roadrunner spirit.”

Goal-hitting highlights:

  • The MSU Denver Debate Team raised $2,654 to promote civic life and democratic culture at the University by helping students build leadership and argumentative skills.
  • Rowdy’s Corner raised $8,802 to feed over 140 Roadrunners for an entire academic year.
  • Women’s golf raised $3,171 to help pay for equipment, travel expenses and indoor practice sessions in winter.
  • The Presidential Internship in Public Service raised $32,424 to offer students a fully funded opportunity to live and work in Washington, D.C., for 10 weeks as student interns learning about the national service community.

“Each year, our generous Roadrunner family goes above and beyond to make Day of Giving successful,” said Milnes. “We are thrilled with what we accomplished this year, knowing our students will have the resources to achieve their dream of earning a degree.”
