cybersecurity imageYou may have seen in recent news reports that the Colorado Department of Higher Education was a victim of a recent cyberattack that could impact current and former students at public colleges and universities across the state, including Metropolitan State University of Denver.  

 

MSU Denver’s network and systems were not breached and remain secure, and no employee data was compromised through the CDHE attack. However, the University is passing along further information from CDHE so members of our community understand where to learn more and how to access resources that can help protect your personal information should you be in one of the groups that may have been impacted:  

  • Those who attended a public institution of higher education in Colorado between 2007 and 2020.  
  • Those who attended a Colorado public high school between 2004 and 2020. 
  • Those with a Colorado K-12 public-school educator license between 2010 and 2014. 
  • Those who participated in the Dependent Tuition Assistance Program from 2009-13. 
  • Those who participated in the Colorado Department of Education’s Adult Education Initiatives programs between 2013 and 2017. 
  • Those who obtained a General Equivalency Diploma between 2007 and 2011.
