The Auraria Higher Education Center is soliciting input from Auraria Campus partners regarding the search for a new Auraria Campus Police Department chief. AHEC leaders invite campus community members to weigh in on the qualities, characteristics and competencies that the new police chief should embody. 

Members of the campus community are invited to take a brief survey. Feedback gathered will help AHEC leaders define the new job description for the chief of police and help identify the best final candidate to serve and support the diverse and vibrant Auraria Campus. 

AHEC is also hosting several roundtable discussions and town halls to better understand the needs of the campus community. Feedback gleaned from these events will be incorporated into the subsequent job description. Members of the campus community are invited to attend one of the following events: 

  • In person: March 13, 10-11 a.m., in Tivoli Room 320 
  • In person: March 13, 3:30-4:30 p.m., in Tivoli Room 320 
  • Remote: March 16, 10-11 a.m., via Zoom 
  • In person: March 16, 3:30-4:40 p.m., in Tivoli Room 320
