The Health Center at Auraria offers a host of specialty services at no charge, including nutrition counseling with registered dietitian nutritionists.

The innovative partnership between the Health Center at Auraria and the Metropolitan State University of Denver Nutrition Department supports University constituents and offers Nutrition students an opportunity to complete the practice hours necessary for graduation. The students help gather data and, with patients’ consent, observe the appointments.

The RDNs can provide nutrition recommendations and answer questions related to chronic health conditions, weight management, optimizing athletic performance or developing a personalized healthful eating routine. Based on health needs and goals, the RDN will suggest a personalized action plan, including dietary information and recommendations for follow-up visits.

Anyone interested in nutrition counseling can visit the Health Center website for more information or call the Health Center at 303-615-9999 to schedule an appointment. Before the first visit, individuals will be asked to complete a Nutritional Counseling Intake Form.
