RK Foundation recently presented the Metropolitan State University of Denver Foundation with a $15,011 grant. These funds will be matched by Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative dollars, providing students pursuing majors important to the Colorado economy with scholarships and wraparound support services.

MSU Denver students who receive COSI scholarships participate in the Scholarship Support & Retention Program through the Classroom-to-Career Hub. Services include career planning, opportunities to participate in campus events and volunteering, one-on-one mentoring and more. Statistics show that students participating in COSI and similar programs have higher retention and graduation rates than their counterparts. The most recent numbers at MSU Denver show COSI scholars persisting with a 97% retention rate compared to a 65% retention rate for full-time students without support services.

Because of the RK Foundation’s support, Roadrunners will have the resources they need to rise in the classroom, in their careers and as leaders in their communities.
