As our year comes to an end, we are reminiscing on a spectacular semester filled with new opportunities and vast growth. Although we’re closing up this semester, the best is yet to come, and these following highlights are only the beginning. Our amazing faculty and staff, our loyal industry partners, and our hardworking students are the reason behind all our success this semester and thus far, so thank you to each and every person who has had a hand in shaping this fall semester – one that has come to be a pillar in CBUS’s successful journey and onward.
CBUS Welcome Back Bash
CBUS kicked off fall semester by hosting our first annual Welcome Back Bash, a great event featuring food, games, departmental tabling, and support from CBUS Ambassadors that brought students together to connect and learn more about CBUS programs. Steve Forbes Visits MSU Denver
As part of the Economics Department’s Exploring Economic Freedom Project, CBUS hosted Steve Forbes for a fascinating talk that gave students and the broader MSU Denver community the opportunity to gain insights and ask questions about modern day economics. Check out more on this event here!
MSU Denver’s Marketing Agency, Rowdy Minds, Launch
This fall marks the launch of CBUS’s first student-run marketing agency, Rowdy Minds, being founded in Spring 2025. They are already making impressive strides with two clients and strong student leadership. Read about Rowdy Minds here!
BGS Ceremony
Each semester, CBUS’s business fraternity Beta Gamma Sigma hosts an induction and senior sendoff celebration that welcomes new members, celebrates graduating seniors, and fosters connection among students and faculty through recognizing academic achievement. Check out more on this event here!
Sales Week
Each semester, CBUS’s Center for Professional Selling hosts Sales Week, a series of events that brings together students, faculty, and industry partners for engaging sales-focused learning and we witnessed strong turnout as well as increased participation from non-sales students this year. Homecoming
CBUS celebrated fall homecoming with staff decorating office spaces for MSU Denver’s 60th anniversary and also by joining the men’s soccer tailgate for an evening of food, games, and campus fun. Read about homecoming here!
MPAcc and MBA Hooding Celebration
CBUS celebrated our hardworking graduate students at the semesterly hooding celebration early in December, marking record attendance as graduates were honored alongside their families and faculty. Check out more on our hooding ceremony here!
We wanted to give a special shoutout to all our incredible business clubs! They represent all the great qualities we value in students as a college and we are very proud to have them as business students. All of our clubs continue to blow us away with their talent, skills, and incredible work ethic. Special thanks to the leadership of each of these clubs as well as their respective faculty advisors who put in the extra work to keep these clubs up and running.
Accounting Student Organization (ASO)
This semester marked new highs in students participation, networking, and professional development for ASO. Led by officers Joseph Rairden, EA, Veronica Aguilar Gonzales, John Nguyen, and Eleanor Tuyen Phan, the organization hosted several events, and welcomed numerous industry partners in their weekly club meetings. Club Management Association of America (CMAA)
Formed in Spring 2025, CMAA kicked off their fall semester with more members than ever. Led by faculty advisor Joshua Wilson, President Quinn Fisher, Vice President Cooper Maddox, and Secretary Nick Kaiser, are setting off to achieve even greater things. Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE)
From 12 dedicated members to 29 new initiates, Pi Sigma Epsilon is proving that small beginnings can lead to big impact. Shoutout to President Kally Nguyen, Vice President of HR Genevie Webster, VP of Marketing Eavie Higgins, VP of Administration Yarein Hernandez, VP of Finance Sushan Dahal, VP of PR Alex Major, and VP of Professional Development Zach Rhoades, for all the amazing work you all have done. Real Estate and Construction Club
This club organized a handful of exciting events this semester, alongside officers Alpha DeLoach and Carl Sanford, they succeeded in coordinating site visits and presentations with industry partners in Downtown Denver.
CBUS Student Ambassador Program
This semester marks the launch of CBUS’s new student ambassador program. This initiative has quickly proven to be a highly successful and impactful one, giving students exclusive opportunities to represent the college while volunteering at events, and we’re so excited to see it continue to grow when it returns in the spring.
