The College of Business kicked off the fall semester in a big way, with our first-ever CBUS Welcome Back Bash, part of MSU Denver’s Ready, Set, Rowdy! Welcome Month.

Students, faculty, and staff came together on the JSSB Lawn for a day full of energy, connection, and of course—hot dogs!

Highlights from the Bash

  • Photobooth Fun: Students and Friends stopped by to snap pictures and create memories, marking the start of a new semester.
  • Meet the Departments: The event gave students a chance to connect directly with departments within the College of Business and learn about opportunities across CBUS.
  • Games & Activities: From lively games of volleyball to friendly cornhole matches, students had plenty of ways to relax and connect
  • Hot Dog Madness: We served 360 hot dogs to hungry Roadrunners, proving that nothing brings people together like food.
  • Raffle Excitement: Students had the chance to win prizes like King Soopers gift cards, Colorado Rockies tickets, and CBUS swag bags.

By the Numbers:

  • 350-400 students came through the event
  • 360 hotdogs were handed out
  • 78 CBUS Tickets were filled out
  • 476 raffle tickets submitted
  • 8 CBUS Student Ambassador Volunteers
  • 56 CBUS Faculty and Staff Volunteers
