Fall 2025 marked the first semester CBUS launches its student ambassador program and we couldn’t have asked for a more successful one.

Our first ever meeting was filled with fun and productive activities. We all gathered and got to know one another, received some CBUS swag, and had meaningful conversations about our vision for this program and what we would like to do within it. The ambassadors also were the ones interviewing one another which gave everyone more of a chance to get to know their peers. Lindsey Wadle, CBUS’s Marketing Coordinator and the brains behind the program, also took the liberty of creating a profile for each ambassador on our CBUS website. This first meeting also offered the ambassadors free headshots!

The second meeting was a very fun event CBUS hosts every semester: The CBUS Welcome Back Bash. Ambassadors volunteered alongside CBUS faculty and staff, helping set up the booths, taking charge of the photo booth where students can take professional photos and fun polaroid pictures, as well as helping talk to students about CBUS, what majors we offer, and directing them to faculty for more in-depth guidance.

Our following big event was the Steve Forbes talk organized by the Economics department. Ambassadors joined the event with excitement and curiosity, wearing the ambassador shirts, and representing CBUS with their best intentions and great candor. One of our ambassadors, Ronica Redmond-James, even had the courage of asking Mr. Forbes an incredible question about the economic state of the world and what his advice is to young, upcoming entrepreneurs like herself.

After that, ambassadors had another impressive event which was being invited to have breakfast with our President, Janine Davidson. What an honor it was for our ambassadors to be able to sit down with the university’s president, get to know her personally and professionally, as well as share a delightful meal with her alongside Chief of Staff Ed Brown, Vice President for Enrollment & Student Affairs Will Simpkins, Interim Dean for the College of Business Ethan Waples, Interim Associate Dean for the College of Business Rey Hernandez-Julian, and our very own Marketing Coordinator Lindsey Wadle. This event had an immense impact on all the ambassadors and to this day, it’s reflected on as a huge and defining moment in their lives.
