Auraria Library Resources and Support

Kelly McCusker, MSLIS, MPA, Collection Development Program Lead Librarian at Auraria Library has identified and organized a list of resources to support our scholarship and our teaching.

Auraria Creates

Each April, the Auraria Library hosts Auraria Creates—our signature annual celebration of the creativity and scholarship being generated throughout the Auraria Campus. Join us April 6-8 for a series of presentations and receptions is an outstanding opportunity for students and faculty from CU Denver, MSU Denver, and the Community College of Denver to present their work to appreciative audiences.

The Game Collection

The Game Collection at Auraria Library was launched using funds from a University of Colorado Denver Inclusive Excellence Grant. The collection will consist of over 200 board games, card games, and tabletop role playing games (TTRPG). Approximately 100 games are currently available. Most games can be checked out from the library for two weeks to current Auraria campus affiliated students, faculty, and staff. Some games are library use only. Stay tuned for game events in March!

Fiber Arts Meet Up

Staff and faculty from CCD, CU Denver, and MSU Denver are invited to join Auraria Librarians for a causal meet up to work on your fiber arts projects. All crafts are welcome: we have folks who knit, crochet, cross stitch, and more. Join us April 28th and June 30th from 12-1pm in the Innovation Garage.
