Meet our Global Ambassador

Hello! I am Michaela, a Global Ambassador for Admissions at MSU Denver, my role is to help support the international students in this community! I am currently a Freshman majoring in Art! I am from Indonesia but was born here in Colorado, and has always been my home. My favorite thing about Colorado are the big events such as Anime/Comic conventions, Renaissance Faires, Meow Wolf, and the supportive community! I love anime, drawing, arts and crafts, and gaming. I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures, so if you’d like to share anything, talk to me! Always here to support you in any way!

September 2026 

Happy September, International Roadrunners! Classes have started, and you’ve probably settled into classes! Here are a few events going on at MSU Denver soon:

  • Colorado 150 Film Festival – Sep 6th, 13th, 20th
    • CO150 is Colorado’s first ever statewide film festival! It will showcase Colorado’s critical role in the growth of the film industry by highlighting the top 150 “Colorado” films of all time – films shot here, set here or made by talent from Claim your free ticket with the link!
  • Hispanic-Serving Institution Week (HSI Week) – Sep 8th – 15th
    • Nine days of recognizing 615 HSIs throughout the nation for their work and critical role in educating and empowering Hispanics/Latina/o/x!

These nine events include panel discussions, a culinary experience where you’ll learn how to make arepas, workshops, and so much more! Follow the link above for more information!

  • Latinx Heritage Month Kickoff – Sep 15th – Oct 15th
    • “Kick off the celebration with the Center for Multicultural Engagement and Inclusion, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the HSI Committee, and the Community College of Denver as we honor the vibrant spirit of our Latinx students, families, alumni, faculty, staff, and community!” No registration link required, open to all Auraria
