Purpose: This policy sets forth guidelines for all supplemental pay eligible employees by providing guidance on compensating additional work completed above and beyond the “normal range” of duties using supplemental pay. Appendix A provides additional clarification and FAQs.

Scope: This policy applies to all full-time faculty and staff, including tenure-track, tenured (Category I) faculty, full-time non-tenure-track (Category II) faculty and all full-time staff members. It does not apply to affiliate faculty or hourly employees. This policy does not apply to employment outside the University, which is addressed in the Conflicts of Interest and Commitment Policy. Classified staff may be eligible for supplemental pay, but they should contact their HR representative and refer to the Colorado Employee Handbook for further details.
