Bio

Dr. Everett is a Colorado native, born and raised in the Denver metropolitan area. He graduated from Arvada West High School, and holds a B.A. from Western State College of Colorado and an M.A. from Colorado State University. Dr. Everett earned his doctorate in history at the University of Arkansas.

Dr. Everett specializes in Colorado and Western history, with an emphasis on geography and politics. He has published three books, including _The Colorado State Capitol: History, Politics, Preservation_ (2005), _Creating the American West: Boundaries and Borderlands_ (2014), and _Colorado Day by Day_ (2020).
