The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is home to faculty members and students interested in the study of the human experience. We study physical and cultural environments, ways of living and thinking, and relationships with others. Our scope is local, regional, national, and global. The world is our field of study. We invite you to delve deeper into our site and to visit our faculty with questions.

Every individual program in the department has developed a singular role and mission around each individual major. The departmental role and mission is to provide a cooperative environment in which the multi-major programs can operate effectively and efficiently.
