MSU Denver’s Career Services team has launched a new Career Services Canvas shell, a flexible, on-demand resource hub designed to help students prepare for life after graduation.

The self-paced shell offers comprehensive career tools that students can access anytime, anywhere. From short, video-based lessons that break down key career topics to a built-in calendar of workshops, fairs, and networking events, the platform makes it easy to stay informed and engaged.

“Since students are already logging into Canvas for classes, it just makes sense to bring career resources there too,” said Clare Fidler, CBUS Career Planning Specialist. “It is convenient, familiar, and easy to use.”

The Career Services Canvas shell is built for accessibility and flexibility. Recognizing that not every student can attend events or schedule one-on-one appointments, Career Services created a space where students can explore career guidance at their own pace, whether it’s résumé writing, job searching, career exploration, or professional skill-building.

By centralizing everything in one familiar platform, the shell empowers students to take charge of their career development in a way that fits their schedules, routines, and goals.

“The Canvas shell will continue to develop alongside our students,” Fidler said. “We hope to expand it with new content and resources that meet the changing demands of career preparation.”

With the Career Services Canvas shell, preparing for your future career has never been easier — or more accessible.
