Students and members of the faculty, staff and the Roadrunner community are invited to attend a President’s Fireside Chat with state Rep. Leslie Herod on Feb. 1, 2022.
Hosted by President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., the hybrid event will include an engaging discussion on the importance of higher education, advocating for Colorado students and Metropolitan State University of Denver’s legislative efforts.

The event will also honor Herod as MSU Denver’s 2021 Legislative Champion Of The Year, in recognition of her leadership and collaboration in the 2021 legislative session, which included helping to secure critical higher-education funding increases. Like MSU Denver, Herod is committed to access, opportunity and equitable advancement, especially for students of color and low-income students who have been historically un-/underserved by higher education.
