The IMA Foundation is investing in the growth of Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Classroom to Career Hub with a gift supporting the capital construction of a centralized physical space that will scale career services to serve over 22,000 MSU Denver and Community of College of Denver students.
Grounded by purposeful engagement between industry and higher education, the C2 Hub is keenly focused on Colorado’s economy and is a key player in addressing pressing issues like labor shortages, the mismatch between employer-employee skills, credential gaps and the demand for diverse talent by industry partners like IMA Financial Group, a 100% employee-owned integrated financial services company.
“IMA is always looking for top talent – especially the kind found at MSU Denver,” said Ruth Rohs, senior vice president of corporate communications and executive director of the IMA Foundation for the IMA Financial Group. “By supporting the C2 Hub, IMA has a front-row seat to connect with University students and bring first-generation students into the financial services industry.”

Rohs – who serves as vice-chair on the MSU Denver Foundation board of directors – has a personal passion for education, especially when it comes to breaking down barriers for all students to achieve greater financial security because they have received a high-quality education and earned a degree.

“MSU Denver students are inspirational, scrappy and incredibly hard-working. It makes me proud to see IMA and so many other companies support the University, recognizing the valuable contributions these students will make,” she said.
A thoughtful approach to career development, the C2 Hub intentionally integrates career activities throughout MSU Denver and CCD students’ collegiate experience, including career discovery and preparation, mentorship and employer interactions that demystify the job search process. These programs increase the likelihood of persistence and completion of academic degrees – promoting a legacy of social mobility that spurs generational change – and give students a competitive edge in the workforce upon graduation.
“We hope many graduates join IMA and become part of our incredible growth, award-winning culture and engagement in the Denver community,” said Rohs. “It’s [the partnership] a win-win for IMA and the amazing students at MSU Denver.”
