Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines for the use of Metropolitan State University of Denver’s (MSU Denver or University) brand and identity on websites and web applications. It ensures compliance with current WCAG Accessibility Guidelines, federal and state accessibility laws and standards, web author training, network security, and proper hosting of University affiliated websites.
Scope: This policy applies to all websites and web applications affiliated with MSU Denver. This includes, but is not limited to, websites created and maintained by MSU Denver departments, faculty, staff, students, or any organizations associated with the University. The applications include department specific, informational, student-facing, event-driven, athletics-based, e-commerce, merchandise sales, community outreach, and news-based websites or applications, such as mobile apps.
