On February 25th, students in MKT 4250 Advanced Selling had the opportunity to step inside the world of tech sales during a visit to Park Place Technologies. The group toured the office, met with the vice president of sales, and connected with recent hires, including a proud MSU Denver alum, during a candid Q&A session.
Park Place generously hosted lunch, giving students a chance to network in a relaxed setting and ask questions about career paths, day-to-day responsibilities, and strategies for success in sales. For many, it was a firsthand look at how classroom lessons translate into real-world results.
This visit marks the third consecutive semester the class has toured Park Place, and past participants have gone on to accept job offers. This is an encouraging trend that highlights the value of experiential learning and strong industry partnerships.
The visit reinforced a key lesson: building relationships, asking thoughtful questions, and seizing opportunities outside the classroom can open doors to a successful career in sales.
