The Fund is established to provide scholarships to Construction Project Management majors at the University.

The Donald Fourcade Construction Project Management Endowed Scholarship is established in loving memory by the Fourcade children to encourage students to overcome obstacles and persist toward their dreams of entering into the construction industry. The scholarship will provide tuition assistance to qualified Metropolitan State University of Denver students pursing a degree in Construction Project Management.

Donald Fourcade was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and father-in-law. He was also a U.S. Army veteran who served as a paratrooper in the Eighty Second Airborne Division during the Korean War. After his military service, Donald became an elevator mechanic and worked in the industry for 50 years. Service to others is a quality that Donald embodied throughout his life; after retiring to Apache Wells, AZ with his wife, Beverly, he volunteered for many years doing maintenance, room remodeling and providing any other assistance that was needed by the members of his community.
