The McLaughlin/Moffat Memorial Endowment was established to honor the golf legacy of Michael (Mac) McLaughlin, Ella Moffat McLaughlin and Frances Moffat, relatives of Peggy O’Neill-Jones, Professor Emeritus, Journalism and Media Production and the late Anne O’Neill, Affiliate Hospitality Faculty at Metropolitan State University of Denver, who were instrumental in growing the game of golf in Colorado for women between 1915-1921. The fund provides scholarships to students participating on the MSU Denver’s Women’s Golf Team.
