Integration of IB Pedagogy into Gen Ed: Applying Theory of Knowledge (TOK) ways of thinking in general education reading and writing classes to deepen student inquiry, reflection, and metacognition.

Project-Based & Student-Centered Learning: Developing experiential approaches—such as marketing campaigns, gallery walks, and character studies—that build durable skills and foster engagement.
Equity & Access in Curriculum Design: Creating inclusive classroom practices and scaffolds that support diverse learners in both high school and college writing contexts.

Teaching Interests

Dedicated to professional growth and leadership, I mentor new teachers, develop standards-aligned resources, and integrate educational technology and AI tools into my teaching practice. I have designed units and assessments across a wide range of texts—including Macbeth, The Handmaid’s Tale, A Raisin in the Sun, The Sympathizer, and After Dark—and I consistently create meaningful connections between literature, global issues, and students’ lived experiences. I bring my expertise to the community college and university level, where I hope to continue guiding diverse learners in reading, writing, and inquiry while also exploring my interest in educational technology, professional development, and ethical AI in the classroom.
