Bio
Owen Herman was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Following his undergraduate work at the University of Colorado Boulder, he served four years in the Navy, after which he completed his master's degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. For the next 27 years, he worked for several industrial companies in senior engineering and management positions. In this capacity, it was often his role to create and deliver technical training to employees and customers of these companies. Although the content varied from position to position, a successful outcome depended on his ability to convey technical concepts and processes in a clear and easily comprehensible manner. The technical and communication skills that he developed over those years made him an excellent fit for the requirements of the tutoring position in the MSU Denver College of Business. He has taught Information Systems and Business Analytics courses in the department since 2007.
