Biography

Dr. Walsh-Aziz is originally from Illinois. She's lived in Colorado since 2014 and has been working full time at MSU Denver since 2018. As a licensed speech-language pathologist she has worked in public schools, private auditory-schools, and early intervention. Her specialty is working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) children using any modality. Her research has focused on Deaf representation, literacy and language developmental factors for DHH children, and AAC in schools. Dr. Walsh-Aziz has taught across the curriculum in both the undergraduate and graduate programs mostly focused on development and disorders of speech, language, and literacy.
