Biography

I'm a veteran teacher with the goal of teaching masterfully in all of my courses, no matter their content or delivery method. I desire to make the hard topics easy and engage students wherever they are on their path toward learning more about the brain.


Educational Biography


I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Metropolitan State University of Denver. From there I completed a Master's Degree and Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Colorado-Boulder. I have been teaching part-time, temporary, or full-time at Metro since 1992.

Research Interests

    My research interests are in instructional strategies to improve student learning while becoming a master teacher.

Teaching Interests

    I predominantly teach psychology courses that investigate the brain's impact on behavior and what happens when things go wrong in the brain. I also like teaching courses that support students through teaching assistantships, internships, and their own research. Lastly, I regularly teach Introductory Psychology as I enjoy introducing students to the exciting world of psychology.
