Biography

Kiha Sutta serves as Associate Director of Community Engagement & Administration for MSU Denver’s Department of Aviation & Aerospace Science. In this role, she oversees community partnerships, alumni engagement, donor relations, and student-centered initiatives that expand access to aviation and aerospace careers. She has been instrumental in building bridges between the university and industry, fostering collaborations with organizations such as Denver International Airport, Centennial Airport, CDOT Aeronautics, Game Aerospace, and Wings Over the Rockies.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience in higher education and athletics, Kiha brings a unique background in program development, administration, and mentoring. Before transitioning into aviation and aerospace, she spent two decades coaching NCAA Division I women’s soccer, including 14 years at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Her passion for leadership development and community impact continues to guide her work at MSU Denver, where she champions initiatives that connect students with internships, industry mentors, and professional networks.

Kiha has also led signature departmental projects, including the launch of the new B.S. in Aerospace Systems & Mission Design, the GameBird Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and GB1Community engagement calendar, and the creation of student-focused initiatives. She recently completed the MIT Professional Education program on Applied Generative AI for Digital Transformation and is incorporating these tools into her work within the department.
