Research Interests
My thesis area was Logic and Set theory. More recently, I try to keep up with the literature on teaching and learning of mathematics, mathematical modeling and transformational geometry.
Teaching Interests
All the courses I teach at Metro are part of the teacher preparation program.
My favorite course is MTH 1610, Integrated Mathematics I. It is a problem-based course taken by all students who be certified by MSU. It introduces the students to a way of learning mathematics that is focused making sense and problem solving.
I also love to teach upper level courses: Foundations of Geometry, Abstract Algebra, Introduction to Proofs, Discrete Mathematics and Modeling
Education
PhD in Mathematics
