Biography

Native of Guyana, South America. Earned law degree from University of Toledo, College of Law, and Ph.D. in Comparative Black History from Michigan State University. Currently Professor in the departments of History and Africana Studies.

Research Interests

    My research interests include Black women in legal profession; Migration patterns and experiences of Anglo-Caribbean women to the United States; Comparative history of female jurists in the African Diaspora; Ethnic integration in Ethiopian higher education.

Teaching Interests

    My areas of interest in teaching are African American History; African Diaspora History; Black Women's History; United States Constitutional History.
