Biography

I'm happily married to a fellow educator and the proud father of two young sons. Teaching is my passion and I continually look for new ways to help students make the connections between their coursework and real life.

Research Interests

I conduct no research at present but my past work involved developing methods to evaluate changes in protein-protein binding brought on by disease (like cancers or developmental disorders)

Teaching Interests

I believe you are never finished learning and I try instill that sense of exploration and discovery into the minds of my students. Chemistry is a vast topic that intersects so many areas of industry and society that there are places of direct relevance no matter the future career plans. I strive to make those connections tangible to students and help them realize that even if they don't plan to be chemists later in life that this is a topic they can succeed in and further that there is value in understanding even a small part of how the world works.
