Dr. Christine Sheikh is a sociologist of religion, race/ethnicity, and gender whose primary research focus is on American Islam. She received her Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Arizona. Her book, "The American Ummah: Identity and Adaptation Among Second-Generation Muslim Americans," is forthcoming from Rutgers University Press.
