Cybersecurity Certification Clubs (C3)
To complement our already robust undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs, enrolled students, adult learners seeking a career change and working professionals aspiring to enhance their credentials are all able to pursue professional certifications through The Cybersecurity Center as part of our academic partnership with CompTIA.
Our Cybersecurity Certification Clubs (C3) focus on credible and valued certifications as defined by our private and public sector partners.
The certifications that will be offered through C3 are as follows;
- IT Fundamentals (ITF+)
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA Cloud+
- CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)
- CompTIA PenTest+
Instruction will be in-person and mirror the Fall and Spring semester schedules. Instruction will be delivered over 10-weeks followed by a 2-week “Exam Prep Boot Camp” and the ability to then test out in weeks 13 and 14.
If there is one thing that most cybersecurity professionals can agree on today it is that certification landscape is complex. We believe the certifications above form the basis of a natural progression and allow us to establish and develop a student’s confidence in their own abilities before moving on to more challenging certifications. We will also be offering vendor specific certifications (such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Cloud Practitioner) instruction in the near future.
