Mock Semester Experience

The Mock Semester Experience is an opportunity for students to get an early look at the future student experience at MSU Denver.

Beginning in Spring 2027, students will use Workday to complete many of the tasks that support their academic journey for the 2027-28 academic school year, including managing personal information, accepting financial aid, planning coursework, registering for Fall 2027 classes, viewing tuition charges, making payments, and tracking progress toward graduation.

During this hands-on event, you’ll move through a series of guided activities that simulate a semester in the new system and provide feedback that will help improve the experience before launch.

Location: Jordan Student Success Building (JSSB), First Floor Lobby

What to Expect

Set aside approximately one hour to complete the experience.

After checking in, you’ll travel through a series of stations that reflect key moments in a student’s academic journey, including:

• Getting familiar with the new student experience
• Planning and tracking academic progress
• Registering for classes
• Reviewing financial aid information
• Understanding tuition charges and payments

At each station, you’ll complete short activities and tasks that help you experience how Workday will support students in the future.
