Have Questions? We have answers.
Contact UsAMSI was happy to host Denver Public Schools Launch Internship Program this month! The Engineering Summer Academy brings together high school students from across the Denver metro area to tackle real-world challenges associated with space exploration through the NASA Hunch program.
This year’s Hunch challenge was to design and build innovative prototypes of a jumping robot or a chess game. The twist? Both objects would need to function on the moon. The teams received weekly feedback from NASA advisors, giving students hands-on experience in presenting ideas and developing solutions.
This opportunity goes beyond the classroom: students are developing advanced manufacturing and engineering skills, learning to work in teams, and gaining valuable exposure to careers in STEM.
Initiatives like this demonstrate the power of partnerships in creating meaningful, career-connected learning experiences. It is inspiring to see students step into the role of problem-solvers, contributing ideas that could shape the future of space exploration.
