Jessica L. Newsome, M.Ed.

Jessica L. Newsome is a purpose-driven educator and leader dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to thrive academically, socially, and personally. Rooted in her faith and guided by a calling to serve, she creates inclusive spaces where every learner is seen, supported, and encouraged to step confidently into their unique strengths.

Currently pursuing her Doctor of Education degree, Jessica’s research highlights the leadership journeys and spiritual resilience of African American women in ministry, reflecting her commitment to elevating underrepresented voices and building pathways for others to lead. As an ordained Elder, she mentors through compassion, advocacy, and a belief in the transformative power of community.

Jessica also channels her creativity into Journey of Faith Creations & More, a custom design business that brings joy, celebration, and inspiration to families and organizations. Across all areas of her work, she strives to blend excellence, creativity, and purpose—helping people live out their God-given potential with confidence and hope.
