Bio

I am from Denver and attended MSU Denver after high school. Later I left Denver for Alaska. After 25 years, armed with a PhD, I returned to MSU Denver to teach.

Research Interests

I am interested in lesson study as a vehicle for research into teaching and learning. I studying the impact of LA's in the classroom as part of an attempt to integrate LA's throughout the STEM curriculum. I also do algebraic topology with an emphasis on homotopy theory. Of special interest is the problem of loopspaces in a generalized cohomology setting.

Teaching Interests

I have an interest in all aspects of undergraduate mathematics education with particular emphasis on IBL style courses, teacher preparation, and technology in the classroom.
