Each year, about 1/3 of MSU Denver’s undergraduate students are not retained to the following year. These resources assist faculty with supporting student success and retention.

Lactation Spaces

Gender Inclusive Restrooms and Lactation Spaces

Gender-inclusive restrooms provide a safe, private facility for transgender, genderqueer, and gender non-conforming people, families with children, and people with disabilities who may need assistance.

Lactating and/or chestfeeding/bodyfeeding students, employees, and visitors my need a private space to express milk from their body. Having access to an appropriate space on campus to do so is important so that they can fully participate in academic and co-curricular experiences when they need to be on campus for longer period of times.

Note: parents have a right to feed their baby in any space that they occupy

Immigrant Services

The Immigrant Services Program supports and builds community for students who weren’t born in the U.S or come from families with immigrant background.

The Center for Multicultural Engagement and Inclusion (CMEI) supports students’ sense of belonging in college and affirms their identities by building community through participation in:

College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)

CAMP, a U.S. Department of Education grant-funded scholarship program, is designed to meet the academic, financial and social needs of migrant/seasonal farmworkers and their children in pursuing higher education.

First-Generation Initiatives

First Generation Initiative supports students by providing community-building opportunities, workshops on skills needed during and after college, as well as empowerment around leadership and their first-gen identity.

LGBTQ Student Resource Center

This tri-institutional student service supports all genders and sexualities in the campus community using a model of CARE: Community Building, Advocacy & Support, Resources, and Education. The LGBTQ Student Resource Center seeks to remove the barriers that LGBTQ students have in accessing their education on an equitable basis.

TRIO Student Support Services

TRIO Student Support Services (TRIO SSS) is a federally-funded grant program which serves students who are first-generation, differently-abled (disabled) and low-income. They provide services such as advising, college and life-skills workshops, graduate school visits, access to a computer lab and much more.

Veteran and Military Student Services

The Veteran & Military Student Services program is dedicated to supporting the more than 1,000 military service members, veterans and their family members who choose MSU Denver each year through assistance with:

  • Certification of VA Education Benefits
  • Tuition Assistance Programs
  • Active Veteran and Military Services Center
  • And numerous workshops and programs designed to empower military-affiliated student to achieve their academic, career, and personal goals

Campus Recreation is a vital part of the college experience and aids in the education and development of the whole person and serves as a place of employment for students. The recreation center provides a unique site for programs and activities aimed at meeting the needs, interests, and expectations of a diverse community.

The Health Center at Auraria is committed to supporting our amazing faculty and staff at MSU Denver. Medical & Mental Health Services along with our programming are designed to keep faculty staff, and students healthy so they can thrive personally and professionally. The Health Center at Auraria offers a variety of benefits that come along with joining the MSU family, including weekly fitness classes (e.g. Yoga, Zumba, Pilates), access to a yearly drop-in immunization clinic, consultation with our Dietitian and much more!

Writing Support For Both Students and Faculty

The MSU Denver Writing Center can help with any writing assignment, in any stage of the writing process. Assignments could include summary/response papers, journals, case studies, research projects, collaborative projects, digital projects, resumes, applications, presentations, and more!

Auraria Library Faculty Services

The Auraria Library supports the diverse populations of the Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and the University of Colorado Denver in achieving academic success. They meet users wherever they are by providing access to information, services, and expertise 24/7, and teach research skills that enable and inspire life-on learning.

Academic Advising

Academic Advising includes, but is not limited to, guidance on choosing majors, concentrations, and other academic programs; connecting academic choices to career planning; helping students understand academic policies and procedures; and referring students to university resources, as appropriate.

Access Center - Student Disability Support Services

The Access Center collaborates with and empowers students who have disabilities by coordinating accommodations and support services that enable equal access to the students’ educational experience. IT Road Map

Information Technology Services is here to help you get digitally connected with the MSU Denver community and the various systems utilized by faculty. Visit the Faculty & Staff Tech Road Map and learn about

Getting ID Cards & Keys

Some buildings and classrooms require that you have a campus ID and/or key to access the space. Stop by the Tivoli Station and get your campus ID before the start-of-semester lines begin. Also, make sure your department requests any keys or ID card access to spaces needed.
