CVA exterior

Location

965 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO 80204

Visitors are welcome to park in our lot or find free two-hour parking along Santa Fe Drive and the surrounding streets. Please note that the parking lot has one lane for entering and one lane for exiting, with the entrance lane being closest to the building. If the entrance gate is lowered, use the callbox on the driver’s side to gain access. The exit gate opens as your vehicle approaches and remains open as long as your vehicle fully blocks the sensor. Additionally, CVA periodically closes the parking lot for certain events such as First Fridays, so please seek out other travel or parking arrangements during special events.

A bike rack is available near our entrance. Visitors will be asked to leave large items such as bike helmets or backpacks at our front desk.

Accessibility

CVA does not have stairs and is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. We do not have automatic doors but assistance may be summoned by ringing the doorbell at the right hand. Wheelchairs are not provided but there are benches located around the gallery, and portable stools may be borrowed from the front desk.

Restrooms are not gender specific, with three accessible stalls, one of which contains a baby-changing station.

Pets are not allowed inside the building, but CVA welcomes trained service dogs that assist individuals with disabilities.

EnChroma glasses for colorblind visitors may be borrowed from the front desk and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • Come back another day if you are not feeling well or please wear a face mask that covers your nose and mouth.
  • For the safety of the artwork, please leave backpacks or large bags in your vehicle. Otherwise, you will be asked to check your bag at the front desk, as they are not allowed in the exhibition space.
  • Animals: CVA welcomes trained service animals that assist individuals with disabilities on CVA property and in CVA-controlled spaces and areas open to the public, as provided by this policy and applicable law. Otherwise, animals are not permitted within the building.
  • Non-flash photography is permissible unless otherwise posted.
  • Personal videography is allowed in the museum. The museum often photographs and films onsite programs for use on promotional materials. If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, please inform a staff member.
