Cynthia Vannucci, Ph.D., is a professor in the School of Hospitality, Events and Tourism at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
She is a former hospitality professional of 25 years specializing in hotel operations, catering and conference services, hotel sales/marketing and event planning. Vannucci served as vice president of sales for Choice Hotels International corporate owned properties, regional director of sales for Ramada/Renaissance Hotels, and as an opening director of sales and marketing for two hotels and one conference center. Her professional affiliations include, Professional Convention Management Association, Society of Human Resource Managers, International Association of Exhibits and Events, and Colorado Festivals and Events Association.
Vannucci has conducted research on internships, issues of academic integrity in hospitality programs and studying abroad experiences for hospitality students. She has taught at the University of Prague, School of Economics in Prague, Czech Republic, escorting over 280 MSU Denver HTE students to study convention and exhibit planning since 2011.
Vannucci received her doctorate from Pennsylvania State University, a master’s in business and human relations from Amber University in Dallas, TX and a bachelor’s in hotel administration from University of Nevada, Las Vegas.Edit this page
