Online Writing Consultations
We are now offering online writing consultations to all MSU Denver students. Our online tutoring platform allows for synchronous sessions where the consultant and client meet in real time to work together on a piece of writing. Students may upload a paper beforehand, but the sessions mirror our in-person appointments in that consultants will look at the paper together with the client at the appointment time.
Online writing consultation offers convenient evening and weekend hours designed to help students who may not be on campus regularly and who may need appointment times outside of our in-person hours.
The online platform gives you the opportunity to be you in a session! At your house, in your jammies, petting your dog, or watching your kids play, you can become a better writer in one of the most comfortable ways we offer!

You can make, cancel, or modify appointments by logging into the scheduling system (linked below).
For your first online session, please expect 5 - 10 minutes at the start of your appointment to be a brief orientation on the platform with your consultant.
It is recommended to use Google Chrome or Firefox for optimal audio/video performance.
While files can be shared during the session, you might also elect to upload a document after successfully booking your appointment. Your writing consultant will go through the parts of your paper you wish to cover with you in real time, but please note that they may not have a chance to look at the paper prior to the appointment.
When the time of your appointment approaches, go back into the online schedule and click on your appointment in the schedule. Once the appointment is open, you will see a hyperlink that reads “Start or Join Online Consultation” in the gray box of the form. Click on it to launch the live session, which will open in a new window.
