You may want to visit campus when you are deciding where you want to apply and attend for your education. After you are admitted to MSU Denver, you will need to register for a day-long orientation session to make sure you are on track to get started as a Roadrunner!

The on-campus admissions and orientation office remain closed offering virtual resources. Orientation sessions and campus visits remain virtual with one on-campus tour only option available.

What is a Campus Visit?

A general overview

Campus visits are for prospective students, parents, and guests who want to learn about the University and see campus. This may be through a campus tour, information session, or admissions event like Open House: the Experience. Campus visits take a general look at all things MSU Denver.

When Can You Visit?

Anytime

Campus visits occur year round. Students can register to visit campus at any time in their college search process, many first-year students will begin campus visits their junior year before applying to their selected schools. You may even want to visit campus after you are admitted to help you make your decision on where to enroll.

Roadrunners land on campus from all over the world and at many different stages of life. You are invited to come explore as we offer visit options for every type of student. You can even explore our virtual tour online 24/7.


Is it Required?

No!

Campus visits are not required, and do not impact your admission decision. Visits are highly encouraged to help you find the right fit for your academic goals.

Student's should also note that campus visits DO NOT fulfill the orientation requirement for new students.

Many students attend tours and events to fully experience MSU Denver and learn about resources and opportunities available.

What is New Student Orientation?

A Day-long deep dive information session

Orientation is for admitted students, parents, and their guests. Orientation takes a deep dive into the services and resources available to new students. Each session offers important information to help you experience a smooth transition into MSU Denver, as well as an opportunity to meet with an advisor and register for classes. 

Our Orientation Leaders (OL) are current students and will guide you through the day-long session.


When Do You Complete Orientation?

After admitted, before you start classes

Orientation sessions take place each semester with multiple dates to choose from. Admitted students will receive an email when registration is open for their start term.


Is it Required?

Yes!

All students are required to complete an orientation after being admitted and before registering for classes.


How Many?

Just one

Newly admitted students will complete one day-long session. 

(International students must also complete an international orientation session)
