Guides operate the welcome desk of the Student Success Building and give campus tours through the Office of Admissions.

An elite group of students who serve as the front line for all guests and visitors to campus. Guides are the true “cheerleaders” of MSU Denver. Guides are present at events and visits that are planned through the Office of Admissions and other offices across campus. The guest experience starts here with our front line interactions that encompass a wide knowledge about all departments, resources and fun facts about the University. Guides set the tone of campus while greeting guests as they enter the building, assisting them on where they need to be, and guiding tours that showcase MSU Denver and its campus.

Required Qualifications:

Hours: 10-15 week

Admissions Front Desk

Front desk staff will provide high quality customer service support to the Office of Admissions.

Student staff will serve as receptionist assisting prospective and/or current students on a walk-in basis. Employees are responsible for in-taking forms and verifying them for accuracy as well as noting them in Banner. Strong communication skills are necessary as complex admissions and residency information must be effectively communicated with students. Duties often require research/follow-up with various parties to validate information and successfully see prospective students through the enrollment process. In addition for front desk duties, staff will be sorting incoming mail and faxes, open house, calling campaigns, stuffing letters, data entry processes, and other duties as assigned.

Student Admissions Leadership Team (S.A.L.T)

As a CREW guide there are leadership positons that you can apply for within the program.

This position is a project oriented, all encompassing experience of structuring a program. A complete and comprehensive look at the behind the scenes of concepts including, but not limited to, scheduling, registration, marketing, staff management, training and professional development, higher education, the admissions process, budgeting, event planning, and event management,

This position is to focus on the skill building of each member of the crew. Tour guides are the true "cheerleaders" of MSU Denver with a wide knowledge about all departments, resources and fun facts about the university. This position plans and executes bi-weekly trainings with guests from across campus that allow each of that criteria to be met. Shadow tours on a regular basis and monitor consistency so that all guests receive a true MSU Denver experience. Projects may include manuals and resources for the program

MSU Denver stands as a preeminent public urban university with a high volume of groups from community colleges, high schools, middle schools, and organizations all visiting campus. With more than 40 groups a month this position focuses on attending to guest requests with outstanding customer service and professionalism. Set the tone of campus while greeting guests as they enter the building and assist with getting them to where they need to be.

This position participates in giving campus tours and activities, as well as the planning and execution of all recruitment events for the Office of Admissions. An all encompassing experience from registration to learning techniques for traffic flow, no-show rates, and event goals.
